Capital Hospital Djibouti will be a private regional referral hospital that will provide specialized medical care and facilitate training and research. The total build-up area of the hospital is 10, 000 square meters. The hospital’s capacity is projected to be 130 beds. The hospital will consist of ground plus 4 floors including a mezzanine floor. The hospital will have 4 theaters, 10 Newborn Unit beds, 7 HDU beds, 7 ICU beds, and 7 NICU beds.

The hospital’s teaching facility will act as a training center for clinical staff to bridge the gap in the existing clinical staff shortage. The services provided will include open cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, reconstructive surgery, burns management, critical care services, newborn services, ophthalmology, oncology, palliative care, renal services (including kidney transplantation), and others. The hospital will offer quality specialized healthcare to patients from Djibouti, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Yemen.
