While there has been good progress in addressing the burden of disease in the world, Africa still carries the heavier burden. Ending poverty and developing economies sustainably can only be attained through equitable access to health and education, and safe, healthy, and resilient ecosystems and human environments. Sustainable Development Goal 3 aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all.
60% of the region’s population is rural and with climate change challenges, the health system’s resilience is further weakened. Sustainable partnerships and efficient supply chain and distribution solutions in Africa can strengthen the delivery of healthcare solutions that reach those who are most vulnerable in Africa.
